There are many ways to get started with the President’s Award:
Seconday and Post-Secondary Schools
A number of Secondary and Post-Secondary Schools have started to offer their students the opportunity to work towards the Award. If your school is offering the Award, find out who is coordinating and ask them for information on how to get started. If your school does not yet offer the President’s Award to students, why not encourage them to start doing so?
Youth Organisations
Many youth organisations have been offering the President’s Award to their members for years. Talk to your Group leader and ask them for more information on how to start working towards the Award. If your organisation is not yet offering the Award, we would love to hear from you!
Below are some of the Organisations that offer the President’s Award to their members:
Many Scout and Guide Groups, St John’s Ambulance Cadets, the Salesian Brigade,Gudja Youths and Camyouths.
Lone Members
It is also possible to participate in the President’s Award as a lone member if you are not able to join through an existing Operating Authority. Lone Members are taken care of by the President’s Award Holders Association. If you are interested in joining as a lone member, please send an email to info@presidentsaward.org.mt.
Once you have registered to start your Award, it is now time to start thinking about your choices for the different sections of the Award. Discuss these choices with your Award leader, and always keep in mind that you should try to choose something that you find interesting and which you would like to develop further while working towards the Award.
